thetalk is a comprehensive, sex education program for parents and kids. Each session incorporates short lectures, DVD segments, games, worksheets and group discussions to create a fun, comfortable environment to learn and share.

Designed for kids ages 11 and 12 and parents of all ages, the program consists of five sessions held weekly or biweekly. While the first session is a one hour "Parent Preview", the subsequent four sessions last two hours and include both parents and kids.

thetalk curriculum covers puberty, reproductive anatomy, sex, abstinence, responsibility, pregnancy, contraception, values, body image and peer pressure. But that's just the beginning! thetalk is a catalyst to future conversations about some of the tough issues and choices that children face.

Held in the comfort of your own home (or the home of another participant), each group consists of 10-15 child/parent pairs. Boy and girl groups are held separately (at this stage the kids are more comfortable with their own sex), but moms, dads or both are welcome to participate with either son or daughter.

The cost is $100 per child/parent pair with a minimum group total of $1000 for the five session course.
